The Board of Kennis: Knowledge for Safety and Good Governance is pleased to announce the appointment of Anna Alvazzi del Frate as Executive Director. A co-founder of Kennis, Anna brings a long and distinguished career in criminology and armed violence along with a multi-disciplinary approach that exactly matches our vision of how to address today’s peace and security challenges.
The Board also welcomes David Atwood as Board Member. David spent much of his career engaged in international peace and security processes as an educator, activist, and project implementer. He served for more than 16 years as the Representative for Disarmament and Peace at the Quaker United Nations Office in Geneva and since 2012 has had a range of roles as an associated expert to the Small Arms Survey. David was previously and Advisor to the Kennis Board.
